Our team of building designers work together with the client to develop a design brief that forms the basis of the design concept. Drawing together the user requirements, site, orientation, wider environmental context and the project constraints such as time and budget, the SWC design team present a concept that addresses the brief with state of the art of the building design. Working with local and state planning guidelines our concept development stage is underpinned by deep knowledge of building codes, constructability and building efficiency. From this stage, we work with our clients to finesse their vision and progress the plans to the next stage.

Education
We consider ourselves education facility construction specialists. With over 600 educational projects completed we are vastly experienced in the delivery of both highly technical and more general educational facilities. This includes paying special attention to the ever-developing IT and audio visual needs thus enabling our clients to deliver an education to their students utilising industry leading technology. Schools are very busy places, we get that. Our educational projects often involve operating in extremely active school environments and we pride ourselves on providing flexibility and understanding towards the school’s needs. We plan our builds around the school’s operations to mitigate disruption and allow for the seamless continuation of safe and productive learning environment even whilst our work is undertaken.
Commercial

The process we follow

The requirements of the project are partly portrayed in the scope and drawings provided or developed for us but it’s the detail outside this that is often the most important. The needs of the client, school, community, neighbours, stakeholders needs to be accurately interpreted before the path is determined.
Whether the project is Construct only or Design and Construct, Steve-Watt has the experience and ability to transition the clients requirements to hardcopy plans. Our experience provides a great platform enabling the procurement of a documentational set that best outlines the clients key deliverables mindful of constructability and efficiency.
Once conceptually formalized into plans the project needs to be co-ordinated and reviewed with all building consultants, clients, other stakeholders, councils and interested parties. Possibly the most critical link in the chain, the effort expended here relates to substantial time and cost savings throughout the build and a far better outcome for our client.
Game time. Now we are onsite and able to demonstrate what our experienced and technically capable workforce are able to achieve from a time efficiency, quality, safety and environmentally responsible perspective. We pride ourselves on the timely completion of projects to the highest quality.
